The performance of any organizational group depends on the performance of the people within that group. The performance of the people within the group typically is represented by a bell curve with a handful of exceptional performers, a handful of people performing at some minimum acceptable level, and the majority clustered around an average performance level. The concept underlying the Red Nucleus Consulting Group is that organizations and people perform at exceptional levels because of specific, identifiable factors. Some of those factors might be personality characteristics, some might be process differences within the organization and some might be tools and techniques provided to the individual performers. The identification process involves a proven, structured combination of interviews, observations and analysis of people performing at various levels. Those techniques are structured around a "performance-based" philosophy that determines what accomplishments, or outputs of value, most contribute to the goals of the organization. Once the accomplishments are defined, the processes and tasks that produce those accomplishments are mapped. The next step is to determine those factors, such as skills, knowledge, motivation, etc. that most influence individual performers consistently producing those accomplishments with exceptional results. Finally, an ROI analysis is used to develop a list of prioritized, actionable projects.
